For your pet's safety, please place him or her on a leash or in a pet carrier before entering our hospital.
We are a referral-only hospital. Your family veterinarian will contact us to begin the referral process. Upon receipt of the referral, we will contact you to schedule an initial appointment. Recheck appointments will be scheduled through us as needed.
Appointments are seen Monday through Thursday between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Procedures are performed in the afternoon. Our goal is to perform all diagnostic procedures and tests the same day if possible. However, some tests may require another visit.
Do not feed your pet 12 hours before your appointment, but you can offer small amounts water up until the time of the appointment. Fasting your pet allows us to perform necessary diagnostic testing, i.e. blood work, ultrasound, etc.
If your pet is a diabetic, we ask that you not withhold food or water prior to your appointment.
Emergencies are a priority, and may be seen before scheduled appointments.
Initial Appointment Procedure
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment with an x-rays, medical records, and current medications in their original bottles.
Allow 1 hour for your initial appointment. Afterward, you will receive a detailed estimate of diagnostic testing and/or procedures that Dr. Treadwell recommends.
We will set up a time to discharge your pet from the hospital at the conclusion of your appointment. During discharge you will be presented with a detailed treatment plan and results of testing and procedures will be discussed at this time.
Recheck Appointments/Drop-Off Appointments
Appointments for recheck exams, lab work, and med reviews can be scheduled during regular appointment times.
Certain recheck appointments must be scheduled as a drop-off recheck appointment. SVIM receives drop-off appointments from 7:30am-8:30am. Please allow time to complete our drop-off form which will include the dosage and frequency of the medicines you are giving and any changes you may have noticed about your pet since your last visit. For your convenience you may refer to the bottom of the client information section of our website there you can download, print, and complete this form and bring it with you when dropping off your pet. We will set up a time to discharge your pet from the hospital when you arrive for your drop-off appointment.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and CareCredit.
